Welcome Back!
We have now had one week back at school and it has been a fabulous week of learning. In maths we have been learning about perimeter, area and volume in maths. For writing we are going to be writing our own myths and this week we have listened to a variety of different myths.
Today our Key Com recipients were Callum and Angelina, well done guys.
Also at the end of last term we had a number of our class take part in a hockey tournament with one of the teams coming first in the A grade competition and our second team coming third in the B grade.
Here is a picture of some team members from Totara 1 that took out the trophy in A grade.
There was a MVP chosen for each of the teams... They went to Franklin and Alex.
Congratulations also go to Emil for winning a range of prizes at the Greymouth Swimming Club, taking the Most Promising for the club.
During the holidays there were a number of students in Totara 1 that took part in tennis competitions. One of those competitions was West Coast versus Marlborough which took place in Blenheim. West Coast won the trophy for the first time in the competitions history which is fantastic. Congrats go to Honor, Ruby, Oli and Franklin from Totara 1.
Hi Totara. It's Mikael from Yaldhurst school. I like how you have lots of photos, that look really cool. Next time you should try to make what you wrote a bit clearer. Apart from that it is good.

I also like how you have not add no much photos.And lots of writing And its very great that you have been having a great week back at school same here and also the main thing what you had in your amazing blog post is you had how you were feeling but I do have something you can work on maybe next time you can say why you were having a fabuse week.?? and whats your favorite thing you did this week.???
Hello, Totara I am Jacob from Yaldhurst Model school I am a year 8 I really like. Your blog post about about your Maths I don't really know what is perimeter means but you should add a video how you did it but keep up the good work people you should add some more photos. But I really enjoy this blog post.
